A little bit of Patricia's story
From Brittany to Mapleton
La Galette 2.0 began with a love of French food, a little inspiration from Brittany, and a passion for sharing it with others.
Our story started when Patricia travelled to Brittany, France, where she learnt the traditional art of making authentic French crêpes and galettes. Inspired by the region’s rich crêpe-making heritage, she brought those skills home to Australia and opened La Galette in Tilba Tilba, NSW, where she spent six wonderful years serving homemade French crêpes, savoury galettes, cakes and pastries to the local community.
Late last year, the journey continued north to the beautiful Sunshine Coast hinterland, with the opening of La Galette 2.0 in Mapleton, Queensland.
Today, we’re proud to carry that same French tradition forward — keeping things simple, authentic and made with love. From a savoury buckwheat galette to a sweet crêpe and a freshly baked French pastry, everything is inspired by the flavours and traditions Patricia fell in love with in Brittany.
Come and share a little taste of France with us in Mapleton. 🇫🇷
